Hotel Maximilian - Oberammergau

The spa area was nice, but the church bells were really disruptive at night.

The hotel was wonderful and fairly clean, its location was incredible in the mountains, impeccable service. Location: the venue was just next door to the restaurant with a good selection of drinks and local food, an easy drive to the Neuschwanstein Castle and charming Oberammergau.

Immaculately clean and unique place with very helpful staff. The superior king room with super comfortable bed, balcony, as example...

The staff, especially the polish receptionist, was super helpful in recommending places and informing us about local events. The spa facilities were also a plus, with a sauna and steam room to unwind. Being so close to the town center made it easy to explore the area too.

Overall it was well-equipped and a nice size with a large balcony. A laptop-size safe, a mini-bar, and central heating were standard, but I loved that. The hotel had a perfect location right near the cathedral.

The church bells ringing every 15 minutes around the clock can be quite disruptive, especially for light sleepers or those dealing with jet lag. The non-buffet breakfast setup could use some pre-ordering options for early risers to improve organization.

I switched to this place at the last moment and was really pleased I did! The receptionist was helpful with dinner suggestions and local events. Breakfast was fantastic with freshly cooked eggs. Super comfy room and nice decor. Definitely enjoyed it 😊

The breakfast was good, with delicious fresh eggs and good pastries. The location is a gem, right in the heart of town, near great spots like Restaurant Uhrmacher and El Puente. Plus, the comfort of the room was great.

The room was super cozy and clean, and I enjoyed relaxing in the sauna and steam room after a long day. The only downside was that breakfast could be a bit slow at times, but it was totally worth the wait ☕️

An Lovely Alpine Retreat!

Luxurious accommodations with a amazing balcony view. The on-site brewery and bar added a good twist to my evenings. Breakfast stood out with superb local offerings. For a serene experience, request a room away from the bells if you're a light sleeper. Parking was hassle-free too!

Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, perfect location, the bed was really good and the staff was friendly and accommodating with our needs including a great parking option nearby and easy access to transportation services.

Couldn't ask for better.

The room was spacious and well-furnished. A highlight was the fine balcony with mountain views. Breakfast featured delicious, freshly cooked eggs and good home-made pastries. Finding the mechanism to close the bathroom curtain proved a bit tricky, impacting privacy briefly. The single staff member was friendly but not always available, which may inconvenience some guests.

The location here is fantastic, and the staff are very polite and respectful.
